I guess at some point I probably ought to greet my new friends from the Pokémon friending meme. Hey there, all four of you! I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. :D Or something.

You know, I've never really held my childhood sacred. So when people do things like Rule 34 Pokémon or whatever, that doesn't bother me. But finding out that Abraham Lincoln thought blacks were inferior to whites? That's really depressing. D:

For those of you who found yourselves wanting more after reading the Deathly Hallows epilogue and haven't found it: I've found an interview with Jo that explains a lot, including stuff from earlier books. littleyuzu, she of theofficepuffs, recapped it here, and there's also a link to the interview itself. Figured I'd put that out there.
In other news, the Hare Hare Yukai dancers for this year's talent show have been finalized: Raven, Usa-chan, HG, O.A., and myself as Haruhi, Yuki, Mikuru, Kyon, and Itsuki, respectively. So yeah, some crossplay (both kinds), some stuff, it's all cool. If anyone is around around March or whatever you may want to check it out. Of course, that's assuming I can learn the dance by then. :P

Also, finally got around to watching "Goths" two days ago. Grishnack is love, and that is all. Although one wonders why he's named himself after an orc (Grishnákh) - they're not particularly goth, are they? (Further research has shown that he may have taken the name from one "Count Grishnackh", a musician, murderer and racist. I hope it's the former.)
Also, today is yesterday was (the historical) Macbeth's 950th deathday. Keep it real, Mac.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go watch The Office. I mean, eat dinner. Then watch The Office. ("Well, have a nap...THEN fire ze missiles!") |

I was probably gonna post something funny...like, from school or something...but I forgot it. If I was.
And in Spanish class, we were doing this activity where we were supposed to draw the first thing we thought of, and I drew Desmond. Obsessed much? :P And it was cool because we were doing this story where people took turns putting whatever they drew into a story, and I was like, "Desmond entró y gritó: —¡TODOS VAN A MORIR!" Even if someone did think he was Sirius Black. (whut?)
Speaking of, anyone who has ever read or seen or both Naruto or Harry Potter or (preferably) both needs to read THIS FIC. Right NOW, mister.

Every time you pronounce a character's name wrong, A KITTEN DIES. Or at least some of my brain cells. Seriously, is it that hard to look them up in the pronunciation key at the back? If I hear "Serkie" for Circe one more time (I don't care how much you like Andy Serkis), I may have to hurt something. And I'm not even going to touch the horrendous job you did with Scylla and Charybdis...but getting their genders wrong, WTH? I can see maybe doing that with Charybdis, because, y'know, she's a whirlpool, but Scylla at least has a recognizable gender, and you could have just called them "it". I would have been okay with that. But they are not MALE, capisce?
On a completely unrelated note...

If you thought that was funny, for the love of all that is shiny, getcher butt over to babb_chronicles. Some stuff in there is, how shall we say, not worksafe, but you can ignore it easily enough. And don't forget to read the comments, as that's where the best stuff happens. |

Firstly: A moment of silence.
Secondly: LJ can be useful after all. 'Cos I had to make a "patchwork" about myself for homework, so I just went to my info page and boom! There was all the stuff I liked! So I found pictures of them and made a poster. Yay LJ.
Thirdly: O.A. is Naruto. This is because she's Fawkes, and Fawkes was named after Guy Fawkes, and (the titular) V of V for Vendetta wears a mask of Guy Fawkes, and in the movie V was played by Hugo Weaving, and Hugo Weaving played Agent Smith in The Matrix, and in an AMV called "The Narutrix" the part of Agent Smith belonged to Naruto. Wow, this is like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. On a similar note, I'm Willy Wonka's dad (Wilbur Wonka, D.D.S.), which is really messed up.
Fourthly: You may have noticed that my journal now bears RENT-themed comment links, friends page title and subtitle. This is temporary. I was just bored of the ones I had.
