Things that have made me ridiculously happy in the past 24 (more or less) hours:
- Hetalia Day 2009 with my dork friends
- Seeing the Astro Boy movie immediately afterward with said dork friends
- Szayel's dub voice fffffff
- The answer to the New York Times acrostic (if you've done it you'll know why)
Also, I have been playing Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia a whole lot lately. (And I still have to actually pay Momo for it at some point. ._.;;) I really like this game. It's not a "true" Pokémon game, sure, but it's gotten me to care about the storyline and characters more than any other Pokémon game's done. And the writing is hilarious. If any Pokémon fans out there are looking for something to occupy themselves while waiting for HG/SS, you could really do a lot worse. |

Still don't have anything to post. I was going to craft a humorous writeup of our group's first D&D session a week ago, but then I remembered that I can't write. So the condensed version is, we had a cleric with no common sense (who ended up being the party's tank), a wizard who didn't know anything, a bard with terrible social skills (though at least she could find north), and a monk who didn't really do much of anything. And a DM who had to put up with our stupidity. Also we were fighting Missingno cultists. Which is kind of awesome.

In other news, the Hare Hare Yukai dancers for this year's talent show have been finalized: Raven, Usa-chan, HG, O.A., and myself as Haruhi, Yuki, Mikuru, Kyon, and Itsuki, respectively. So yeah, some crossplay (both kinds), some stuff, it's all cool. If anyone is around around March or whatever you may want to check it out. Of course, that's assuming I can learn the dance by then. :P

The Revenge of the Sith novelization is so Ani/Obi subtexty. "Obi-Wan opened his eyes to find himself staring at what he strongly suspected was Anakin's butt." ^_^ Also, I've been rereading Ah! My Goddess, and I only just got the "K1" thing. K-"ichi". I'm so unobservant. :P |

Yesterday, after much deliberation, my family decided that Captain Jack Sparrow would pop out at us on the Indiana Jones ride, singing "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah." This, much to our disappointment, did not happen. Speaking of Captain Jack, I seem to have developed a disquieting interest in the [INSERT APPROPRIATE ADJECTIVE THAT IS ALLITERATIVE WITH THE FOLLOWING WORD] [INSERT SYNONYM FOR "PIRATE"]. For all our sakes, I hope this is simply fleeting.
The day before yesterday, we went to see Othello. You know, the Shakespeare play? Anyway, our Iago (the bad guy) seemed to be very, um, "hands-on" with the other characters, especially Roderigo. And the thing at the end with the chain? Hmm. ;) Also, no one ever seemed to call Othello "Othello"; it was always "Moor" (even when it was "noble Moor"). No one ever said, "Whassup, Othello?" They always said "Whassup, Moor?" Actually, they didn't even say that, becasue the word "Whassup" hadn't been invented yet. But still. Grr.
The night before the day before yesterday, I had a dream (vacation seams to be conducive to weird dreams; I've had one every night since we got here, including one where I met "Weird Al" Yankovic and one where it was snowing (I'm still in the Northern hemisphere, so.)) that HG was having a party (at my house, for some reason) and I was Kabuto (for some reason) and so I was annoying all of my friends who don't like him. On purpose. >:)
Also, one night I was really bored (you know that spells trouble) and so I decided to cast Naruto characters in The Ultimate Showdown. (I WAS REALLY REALLY BORED, OKAY? T_T) Here's what I came up with (in order of appearance):
Godzilla = Naruto (because Naruto would love to stomp around and smash stuff)
Batman = Shino (he's got that mysterious vibe going on, and those sunglasses are clearly to hide his secret identity)
Shaq = Neji (well, he is the second tallest, and I couldn't use Lee for resons you'll see later)
Aaron Carter = Sasuke (a pretty-boy with hundreds of swooning fans? Huh, I wonder)
The Batmobile = Kabuto (he's a car! hehe!)
Abraham Lincoln = Ino (picture Ino with a fake beard! IT'D BE AWESOME!)
Optimus Prime = Kankurou (I...don't...know)
Jackie Chan = Lee (DUH.)
Indiana Jones = Kiba (he's got that kind of rugged, Harrison Ford air about him; other than that, I haven't a clue)
Care Bear = Sakura (I DON'T KNOW T_T)
Chuck Norris = Gaara (because Gaara is just the awesomest)
Mr. Rogers = Shikamaru (wth? I DON'T KNOW!)
I was going to cast Gandalf the Grey, Gandaf the White, Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight, Benito Mussolini, the Blue Meanie, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, Darth Vader, Lo Pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger, Bill S. Preston, Theodore Logan, Spock, the Rock, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan, but I ran out of people. Any suggestions?
Tyma: The "I mean boss, I mean poobah!" quote was from the karate (or should I say, karatay!) episode of Sponge Bob. Also, are you an Obi/Qui shipper?

I did some stuff this weekend but I waited too long so now I don't remember it too well so I can't talk about it. x_x And I friended ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) abc_icons because I wanted to feel like I had more friends. And because it's a cool community. I had friended 10variations, but I had to unfriend it becuase all the posts were clogging my friendslist and the big pictures were murder on my dial-up. Still a good comm though.
Everyone was going off on me today at school because I drew a Gaara/Lee picture. Shad and Raven hated the thought of Gaara with anyone else, O.A. just can't imagine Lee with anybody (except me, apparently), and I'm not sure why Maddog didn't like it, but she didn't. Then there were the homophobes who were just "EWW BOYS KISSING." To quote HG, stupid homophobes. I dunno why everyone hates the ship. It's so dang cute! I think I've found a new OTP. (Yes, I'm aware that that makes three OTPs. Shut up.)
Relatedly, I think I need a Naruto guy. I mean, Shad has Gaara, Raven has Sasuke and Gaara, Maddog has Kakashi, Freeglader has Sasori, Rekka has Orochimaru, and O.A. has that Kimimario guy. (She used to have Kabuto, but Rekka made her give him up so she could kill him. Everyone seems to hate the poor helmet-head for some reason.) But I've never really felt strongly about any of them. O.A. thinks I like Lee, but I'm just not sure. He's adorable and all, but I don't know if he's the type of guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. Maybe I should listen to Rekka and define my parameters, but it really depends on the guy, dunnit.
In happier news, we got a printer. And I was in fact able to watch "Reality Trip", albeit a rerun. Most of it was pretty good, but dude, dei ex machinis are not your friend. Well, off to study some more. Or not. |

- My friend Monkey. We were watching Forrest Gump yesterday, and that's one of the things he came up with. We also developed a fascination with the words (try and imagine these in an Alabama accent) "Forrest Gum*p*", "mud" (and houses made of mud that were "dirt cheap"), "Viet-nam" (flat a), and "Greenbow, Ala-BAMA!", as well as helicopters and Lieutenant Dan looking like/being a pirate.
...In other news, I'm going to Anime Boston today with HG and Shad and some others, and Christopher Lee turns 84. Because Christopher Lee is actually me, because I'm Saruman, so that also makes me Count Doofus Dooku. But I'm also Darth Maul (and presumably, by extension, Ray Park) and Harrison Ford and Mos Def. Oh, and Rupert Grint, which makes me Ron, which makes me Dumbedore, which makes me Dom, which is so weird that I am going to stop thinking about it right now. |
