Things that have made me ridiculously happy in the past 24 (more or less) hours:
- Hetalia Day 2009 with my dork friends
- Seeing the Astro Boy movie immediately afterward with said dork friends
- Szayel's dub voice fffffff
- The answer to the New York Times acrostic (if you've done it you'll know why)
Also, I have been playing Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia a whole lot lately. (And I still have to actually pay Momo for it at some point. ._.;;) I really like this game. It's not a "true" Pokémon game, sure, but it's gotten me to care about the storyline and characters more than any other Pokémon game's done. And the writing is hilarious. If any Pokémon fans out there are looking for something to occupy themselves while waiting for HG/SS, you could really do a lot worse. |

I guess at some point I probably ought to greet my new friends from the Pokémon friending meme. Hey there, all four of you! I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. :D Or something.

It's recently come to my attention what an embarrassing percentage of my thoughts is spent on attractive fictional-type guys. I'm sorry, but if Hetalia does the entirety of "Cleaning Out the Storage" in English with those godawful accents, I may have to watch it on mute or something. Which is a shame, because it's a really powerful scene. It's like, I mean, I guess it makes sense to have countries actually speaking their own language, but then if they can't actually speak it very well, it's a little hard to suspend disbelief. Plus, why isn't Lithuania speaking Lithuanian then? "THEN I'LL GO MAKE SOME. COFFEE FOR YOU" indeed.
Also, Sato finally evolved. Just, y'know, if anyone cared. Also I hit 200 hours, and caught Cresselia, and discovered the wonders of the Underground. The Wonder Underground. Currently trying to get all the fossil Pokés - I've got Omanyte, Kabuto and Lileep so far. Lol I don't know why I'm going on about Pokémon. Probably because I forgot how to actually say anything important. :|
OH WAIT. Somehow I didn't know before about this, but the Haruhi Suzumiya dub dubbed God Knows. And it sounds good. Yes. YES. I love you dubs. |

I know I really shouldn't be squeeing so much over this pairing, considering it's from a cheesy '90s cartoon that's only good anymore for making hilarious YTPs. But. Um. Sonic and Robotnik get married (sequence starts 5:43ish). While Sonic is in drag. And Sonic kisses Robotnik five times. And then licks cake off him. @_@ And that's not even getting into all the show's other gay implications, like Tails calling a guy hot in the same episode. Or all the totally, totally canon Scratch/Grounder. "You gorgeous hunk of high-tech" indeed. Oh, AoStH. If you keep being this slashy, I may actually have to start watching.
Also, I'm sure old news is old, but it looks like we're getting some Scandinavia up in the Hetalia anime! Including Norway, Denmark, and Iceland! Which means they're actually getting canon personalities! Awesome! The only worrisome thing is that I've seen everyone's voice actors listed except Finland. I hope that doesn't mean he's not going to be there. I mean you can't have Sweden without Finland! *waves SuFin flag*

Happy Singles Awareness Day, gaiz. ;_; (Luckily, the folks over at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) nation_ask are having some kind of Valentine's event today. So hopefully pseudo-romance with attractive anthropomorphic nations can make up for it.)
Also, my graphic design class at school started recently. It's pretty awesome, except that every time the teacher mentions the magic wand tool, all I can hear is 1:25-1:27 of this YTP. It's... interesting.

So the first Hetalia episode came out yesterday. And, uh, I know the folks over at hetalia have probably discussed this one to death, but I have to throw in my two cents. (Or two groszy?)
So. This is Poland. Friends call him Feliks. He talks like a valley girl. He has crossdressed multiple times. You get the point, right? He's kind of girly.
... They gave him the manriest voice in the entire show. (about 1:05) Well, maybe not as manry as Germany. And of course, there has to be an exception made for Amerikamina. But. Seriously? Poland. Oh, Hetalia. Please never stop bringing the lulz.
Edit: oh, hey, a real fan person said pretty much the same thing I did. I feel special. :B |

W-why did I have to find Axis Powers Hetalia scanlations at 11 last night ;_; US/UK? Sweden/Finland? Germany/Italy? Russia/Lithuania? YES PLZ. And who knew France, Austria, Canada, America, and heck, even UK were such good-looking guys? (Poland kinda gets on my nerves though.)
Scanlations and pics and all manner of wonderful things are at the comm, hetalia. Drama CD sub is here. Trust me, you need to see this.
